Therapeutic Services: IFP and Outpatient
Mental health is one of the most important factors for families who have experienced adverse life experiences. Families are in need of many different options to help them cope and heal from past trauma and move toward stable relationships. Our therapeutic services team help individuals and families who are at-risk or who have been involved with the foster care system. We work with families identify new strategies for communication and relating. We also work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD and past trauma.
Intensive Family Preservation
Compass’ IFP teams consist of therapists and family skill builders who work with families in their home to help prevent a child’s removal from the home into foster care. Each case consists of six weeks of intensive family therapy and support. Therapists are available to assist the family 24 hours a day with crisis situations, but also help to relieve conflicts so the family can remain in-tact. Compass’ IFP team is very successful, with more than 85% of families remaining in-tact post services.
Outpatient Therapy Program
Compass’ Outpatient Therapy program provides individual and family counseling in our Kearney office. Our clients often are referred from our IFP program for on-going support. We also provide support to children in foster care, foster parents, and biological parents of children who have been removed from the home. We accept most insurance and offer payment solutions for uninsured or underinsured.
