Helping Children and Families Navigate Life

Heidi Miller

THERAPIST

About Me:

Heidi’s favorite activities as a kid were building forts, camping with her family and helping her grandma bake bread and clean chickens on the farm. As an only child, she loved spending time with her friends and their big families. Her passion for making a difference in the lives of others led to her interest in family services as a career. She earned her Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and then earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Chadron State College.

Heidi brings over 20 years of experience working with children to her role at Compass. Previously, Heidi worked as a re-engage coordinator for Kearney Public Schools and as a job coach with Vocational Rehabilitation. Whether she’s supporting kids or adults, Heidi believes that it’s the small things that make the biggest impact in a person’s heart. She is passionate about mindfulness, personal growth and helping others.

Heidi enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with her five sons – Jackson, Kaden, Maddox, Camden and Kian. When she’s not cheering from the stands at their sporting events, she’ll never say no to a good book, a good movie or a coffee date with a friend.
