About Me:
Lauren’s childhood was filled with softball, hunting with her dad, and spending time with her grandparents. These are still some of her favorite things to do, but she also loves golfing, upcycling furniture, working out, movies and music. She enjoys being involved in her church as well. Lauren is passionate about serving others and sharing the Lord’s love.
Lauren’s immediate family includes her parents and younger sister. However, she also feels blessed with the many friends and families who have accepted her into their homes as a member of their own family.
Lauren knew from a young age that she wanted to help vulnerable families. This led her to the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies with a minor in Educational Studies. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree to become a clinical mental health counselor.
Lauren has worked with Compass since 2019. She started as an intern on the Family Services Team and was offered a position after graduating. She briefly joined the Foster Care team before accepting the position as Church Engagement Lead. This role involves engaging local churches in child welfare and overseeing the implementation of CarePortal.
