Elizabeth Bentley
Foster Care Specialist
Elizabeth hopes that everyone she interacts with feels loved, heard, and appreciated. She believes that taking time to genuinely care for others can have a lasting impact, and she strives to make people feel valued through kindness, encouragement, and meaningful connection.
While Elizabeth didn't know much about Compass when she first applied, she had a friend who consistently spoke highly of the organization and encouraged her to consider joining the team. Since coming to Compass, she has experienced firsthand the support and care the organization extends to both its employees and the community. She has been inspired by Compass's commitment to serving others and creating an environment where people can thrive personally and professionally.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Family Science. Since joining Compass in 2024, she has continued to grow both personally and professionally, developing valuable skills while serving children, families, and the community.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys trying new hobbies and experiences. Recently, she has discovered a love for baking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also loves spending time outdoors, especially going on walks with her husband when the weather is nice. Together, they enjoy traveling, exploring new coffee shops, and opening their home to friends and family through hospitality and fellowship.
At the heart of Elizabeth's life is a desire to glorify God in everything she does. She is passionate about serving and loving others in the same way Christ has loved her, believing that faith is lived out through compassion, kindness, and intentional relationships.
One of Elizabeth's favorite Scripture passages is Ephesians 2:1-10 because it beautifully captures the message of the Gospel. She is especially moved by the contrast between humanity's need for a Savior and God's incredible mercy and grace. These verses remind her that salvation is not something we earn, but a gift freely given through Christ, who rescues, restores, and gives new life. The passage continually points her back to God's love and inspires her to live with gratitude and purpose.
Through her faith, compassion, and heart for serving others, Elizabeth is committed to helping people feel valued, supported, and loved.
