Our Story

Since 2007, Compass has partnered with the community to care for children through faith and action. We began by working with churches and families to provide safe, loving homes for youth aging out of the foster care system in the Kearney area. As the need grew, we expanded to serve children of all ages across Nebraska. Compass recruits foster homes, provides training, assists in completing state-required licensure, and provides support to foster families during their fostering journey.

In 2010, we added services for families in crisis, including supervised parenting time and coaching. Helping our clients accomplish their goals.

In 2023, we launched Compass Counseling to care for the emotional and mental well-being of people across Nebraska. Today, our team lives out our faith by serving in our various programs.
