YEAR-END GIFTS MADE AFTER DECEMBER 3RD GO DIRECTLY TO SUPPORT THE MISSION OF COMPASS.

You made this possible.

Every story here began with someone who chose to care.

Your generosity ripples.

One family supported can change generations.

There's more good ahead.

And we'd love for you to be a part of our future.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

The need hasn't changed.
The way it's funded has.

Across Nebraska, people are navigating foster care involvement, mental health needs, family instability, trauma, and financial hardship every day. The need for those services has never been greater.

At the same time, public funding, state contracts, referral patterns, and service priorities keep changing. Compass has felt those changes firsthand,
and we want to be honest with you about them.

60%

fewer foster homes served after kinship contracts ended.

We have since restored this number through recruiting new licensed foster families.

50%

decrease in Family Services referrals

Not a decrease in need, or staff availability.

70%

decline in Intensive Family Preservation referrals

Not a decrease in need, or staff availability.

These changes were unexpected. They reflect a shifting funding environment, not fewer families who need help, and they require Compass to adapt, diversify, and find new ways to reach families.

Children can't wait for budgets to stabilize. Families cant postpone healing. Hope can't be put on hold.

OUR RESPONSE

Rather than retreating,
Compass is investing in the future.

Strengthen Foster Care Capacity

Recruit, train, license, and support more foster families across Nebraska, while keeping current families resourced and encouraged.

Grow Mission-Minded Partnerships

Build a broader network of churches, businesses, volunteers, foundations, and individual supporters.

Grow Compass Counseling

Increase access to care, strengthen referral partnerships, and build a sustainable program serving more children, adults, and families throughout the state.

Strengthen Financial Stability

Diversity revenue through grants, business partnerships, recurring giving, major gifts, events, and other philanthropic support.

Expand the Continuum of Care

Pursue evidence-based community services to expand our reach to serve those in need.

WHAT YOUR INVESTMENT MAKES POSSIBLE

Ready for today's needs and tomorrow's opportunities.

  • Recruit and equip foster families so more children have safe, stable homes.

  • Expand access to counseling for children, adults, and families.

  • Strengthen family preservation and reunification services.

  • Launch new evidence-based programs that address gaps in care.

  • Serve families when traditional reimbursement falls short of the full cost of care.

  • Invest in staff training, technology, and infrastructure.

  • Respond to changing needs across Nebraska with timely, effective support.

WHY YOUR PARTNERSHIP MATTERS

Children don't stop entering foster care when funding changes.

Parents don't stop working towards reunification because budgets are reduced.

Families don't stop needing counseling when contracts shift.
Philanthropy gives Compass the flexibility to respond when traditional funding falls short - to expand services, enter under-served communities, and stay stable while systems change. This isn't about replacing public funding. It's about making sure Compass can meet needs wherever they arise, for generations to come.
Together, we're building something that lasts.

YOUR GENEROSITY, AMPLIFIED.

One Gift. Growing Impact.
