Therapist
Trystan hopes that the people he interacts with experience the same peace, compassion, and grace that God has shown him. Whether he is supporting children, families, or colleagues, he strives to create an environment where others feel understood, cared for, and encouraged.
What drew Trystan to Compass was the opportunity to combine his counseling skills with his faith. He wanted his relationship with Christ to be an active part of his professional life and was excited to join an organization where serving others and living out his faith go hand in hand.
Trystan earned his Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Chadron State College in 2025. As part of his training, he completed two years of clinical experience at Great Plains Pediatrics, where he worked with children and adolescents ranging from ages 1 to 19. These experiences helped him develop a strong foundation in supporting young people and families through a variety of challenges while fostering growth, resilience, and emotional well-being.
One of the values Trystan is most passionate about is forgiveness. He believes that everyone makes mistakes and that every person deserves compassion, empathy, and the opportunity to move forward. This belief shapes the way he approaches both his work and relationships, seeking to extend grace and understanding to those around him.
Outside of Compass, Trystan enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and getting lost in a good book. Whether he's enjoying nature or sharing meaningful moments with loved ones, he values opportunities to slow down, connect, and recharge.
One of Trystan's favorite Scripture passages is Luke 12:27-28, where Jesus reminds His followers not to be consumed by worry because God faithfully provides for His creation. These verses serve as a daily reminder that God is in control, that His care is constant, and that we can trust Him even when life feels uncertain.
Through his faith, counseling expertise, and heart for helping others, Trystan is committed to walking alongside individuals and families with compassion, encouragement, and hope.
