Chandra Stansbury

Foster Care Licensing Specialist

Chandra hopes that every person she encounters walks away feeling uplifted, valued, and loved. She strives to be a vessel for God's love, bringing joy, encouragement, and compassion into the lives of those around her. Whether she's serving foster families, supporting children, or connecting with her community, her desire is for others to experience the hope and care of Christ through her actions.

Chandra felt a deep and undeniable calling to serve foster families, which ultimately led her to Compass. She believes that caring for vulnerable youth and supporting the families who open their hearts and homes to them is a meaningful way to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Compass provided the opportunity to combine her passion for serving others with her commitment to living out her faith.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies and Early Childhood Education and Development and also serves as the Children's Director at her church. Her educational background and ministry experience have equipped her with a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of nurturing children both emotionally and spiritually.

Family stewardship is at the heart of Chandra's passions. She is deeply committed to teaching her children how to use their time, talents, and blessings to serve others. For Chandra, ministry isn't something that happens separately from family life - it's woven into it. Whether preparing meals for Foster Parent Night Out, creating crafts and activities for children's ministry, or finding other opportunities to serve, she loves involving her children and helping them discover the joy of giving back.

Outside of Compass, Chandra enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, and creating memories with the people she loves most. She and her husband, her high school sweetheart, recently celebrated ten years of marriage and are raising three spunky, hilarious, and beautifully wild children whom they homeschool. Together, they embrace life as a family and cherish the opportunity to learn, serve, and grow alongside one another.

One of Chandra's favorite Bible verses is Joshua 24:15: *"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."* This verse has taken on a special meaning as she reflects on the daily choices families make to remain anchored in God's truth. She loves that the declaration came after God's people entered the Promised Land, reminding believers that while some battles may be behind us, the ongoing call to faithfully follow God remains. For Chandra, it is a powerful reminder to lead her family with intentionality, faith, and a commitment to serving the Lord in every season.

Through her faith, her love for family, and her heart for service, Chandra is passionate about helping children and families experience hope, support, and the love of Christ.
