Megan Barone
Therapist Intern
Megan loves helping people discover meaning and purpose in their everyday lives. Whether she's working with individuals, couples, or families, she hopes people leave interactions with her feeling encouraged, supported, and reminded that the work they're doing matters.
She was drawn to Compass because of the team's genuine joy and passion for serving others. What stood out to her most was that Compass not only makes a difference in the community, but does so with enthusiasm, purpose, and a sense of fun.
Megan brings a unique blend of ministry, coaching, and counseling experience to her work. She is a trained Director of Christian Education, a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, and a graduate student in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to her professional roles, she serves as a Director of Campus Ministry, is a pastor’s wife, and is the proud mom of middle school twins and a high schooler. These experiences have deepened her passion for walking alongside individuals, couples, and families through life's joys, challenges, and transitions.
One of Megan’s greatest passions is learning with people. She believes growth is an adventure - you don't always know where the journey will lead, but each step offers an opportunity to learn, adapt, and discover something new. She especially enjoys helping families explore new perspectives, strengthen relationships, and build on their unique strengths together.
Outside of Compass, Megan enjoys reading, tackling home improvement projects, walking her dog Maple, and exploring National Parks with her family.
One of her favorite Bible verses is Nehemiah 8:10: “For the joy of the Lord is your strength.” This verse serves as a daily reminder that Christ is our firm foundation and the source of enduring joy, no matter what life brings.
Whether she's coaching, counseling, teaching, or simply listening, Megan is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families grow stronger, discover hope, and thrive together.
