Bailey Gillespie

Therapist

Bailey hopes that everyone she interacts with feels heard, valued, and accepted. She strives to create a space where people can be themselves without fear of judgment and where they feel comfortable, supported, and understood. Building genuine relationships and helping others feel seen is at the heart of how she approaches both her work and everyday life.

Bailey was drawn to Compass because of its commitment to supporting individuals and families while fostering a welcoming and compassionate environment. She appreciates the organization's dedication to helping people heal, grow, and thrive and was excited by the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while serving her community.

Bailey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2023 and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Chadron State College, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026. Prior to counseling, she worked as a case manager and gained experience in both social work and school settings. These opportunities strengthened her ability to support individuals through challenges, build meaningful relationships, and help people navigate life's complexities with confidence and hope.

One of Bailey's greatest passions is helping people recognize their strengths and reach their full potential. She enjoys walking alongside individuals as they build confidence, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change in their lives. Seeing others discover their resilience and abilities is one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.

Outside of Compass, Bailey enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, walking, traveling, reading, and staying active. She also loves discovering new coffee shops, listening to podcasts, and spending quality time with her husband. These simple joys help her stay grounded and energized as she balances work, school, and family life.

Having grown up in a rural Nebraska community, Bailey developed a deep appreciation for connection, community, and the importance of supporting others. Those values continue to shape her approach to life and work and fuel her desire to help others feel supported and empowered.

One of Bailey's favorite Bible verses is Joshua 1:9: *"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."* This verse reminds her that growth often requires stepping outside of her comfort zone and trusting God through uncertainty. It encourages her to move forward with courage, knowing she never faces life's challenges alone.

Through her compassion, dedication, and belief in the strength and potential of others, Bailey is committed to helping individuals and families discover hope, resilience, and lasting growth.
