Kalyssa Clark

Family Specialist

Kalyssa hopes that everyone she interacts with walks away feeling comforted, encouraged, and at peace. She believes that even small moments of kindness can make a meaningful difference, and she strives to be a source of support and positivity for those around her.

What first drew Kalyssa to Compass was the organization's Christ-centered culture and the compassionate, passionate leaders who serve both families and one another with purpose. She was inspired by the opportunity to be part of a team that lives out its faith through meaningful service and genuine care for others.

Kalyssa brings both professional experience and personal perspective to her work. She has spent nearly three years working with children and is deeply passionate about helping them thrive. As someone who was also part of the foster care system herself, she understands firsthand the importance of having supportive, caring adults in a child's life. Her experiences have given her a unique perspective and a strong desire to help children and families feel seen, valued, and supported.

At the heart of Kalyssa's work is a passion for helping others. When she sees someone struggling, her natural instinct is to come alongside them, offer support, and help lighten the burden they're carrying. She believes that showing up for people during difficult seasons can have a lasting impact and is committed to being a source of encouragement and hope.

Outside of Compass, Kalyssa enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her dogs, and reading. Whether she's exploring the outdoors or relaxing with a good book, she values opportunities to recharge and spend time with the people and activities she loves most.

One of Kalyssa's favorite passages of Scripture is the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Matthew 18:10-14. She loves the reminder that no one is too small, forgotten, or insignificant for God to pursue. The story reflects God's relentless love and care for every individual and serves as a powerful reminder that each person is deeply valued by their Heavenly Father. This truth inspires Kalyssa to extend that same compassion and care to the children and families she serves.

Through her empathy, lived experience, and heart for helping others, Kalyssa is dedicated to bringing hope, support, and encouragement to every person she encounters.
