Lily Solomon
Foster Care Specialist
Lily hopes that every person she interacts with feels seen, heard, and valued. She loves creating spaces where people feel comfortable being themselves, sharing their stories, and talking about the things that matter most to them. Whether she's supporting families, connecting with volunteers, or building relationships within the community, Lily strives to make others feel welcomed and cared for.
Lily's connection to Compass began long before she joined the team. While still in high school, she started volunteering at Foster Parent Night Out and quickly fell in love with Compass's Christ-centered mission. She was inspired by the kindness, authenticity, and faith of the people she met and knew she wanted to be part of an organization that loved and served others so intentionally. What started as volunteering eventually grew into a calling and a career.
Lily brings a strong background in human services and child and family support to her role. She earned her Associate's Degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Alcohol and Drug Counseling and completed a ten-month practicum at the St. Francis Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center. Before joining Compass full-time, she spent two years as an intern with the organization. Since joining the Family Services team in 2024 and transitioning to the Foster Care team in 2025, she has continued investing in children and families through both her professional work and volunteer service.
In addition to her role at Compass, Lily has served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Foster Parent Night Out since 2022. She is also actively involved with Royal Family Kids through summer camp and mentoring programs and volunteers with Teen Reach Adventure Camp. Her dedication to serving children who have experienced hardship reflects her deep belief that every child deserves to know they are loved, valued, and supported.
Outside of work, Lily enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, working on cross-stitch projects, relaxing in a hammock, spending time with friends, and giving plenty of attention to her cat. She also loves serving in her church by volunteering with middle and high school youth groups and singing with the choir on Sunday mornings.
At the heart of Lily's life is a passion for helping people understand just how deeply loved they are by their Heavenly Father. She believes every person is a precious gift and is cherished by God, and she strives to reflect that truth in the way she serves and cares for others.
One of Lily's favorite Bible verses is 2 Corinthians 12:9: *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* This verse reminds her that God's strength shines brightest in the moments when we recognize our need for Him. It encourages her to rely on Christ's grace rather than her own abilities and to trust that He can work powerfully through every circumstance.
Through her faith, compassion, and servant-hearted spirit, Lily is committed to helping children, families, and communities experience the love, hope, and grace of Christ.
