Tessa hopes that the people she meets walk away with a sense of joy and encouragement. She believes that even during life's most difficult seasons, it is possible to find hope, purpose, and moments of joy. Through her interactions with others, she strives to bring positivity, support, and a reminder that no one has to navigate challenges alone.

What drew Tessa to Compass was the opportunity to work in a faith-based organization where her personal values and professional passions could come together. She loves being part of a mission that serves children and families while keeping Christ at the center of the work.

Tessa brings nearly a decade of experience working with children of all ages, from infants as young as six weeks old through teenagers. Her background includes nannying, working in childcare, and leading summer camps, experiences that have deepened her understanding of child development and strengthened her passion for helping children thrive. She also holds a degree in Psychology and completed extensive coursework in child development throughout her education.

At the heart of Tessa's work is a passion for supporting children and helping them reach their fullest potential. She believes every child deserves encouragement, stability, and opportunities to grow, and she is committed to helping create positive experiences that support healthy development at every stage of life.

Outside of Compass, Tessa enjoys traveling, reading, playing pickleball and golf, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She appreciates opportunities to explore new places, stay active, and enjoy God's creation.

One of Tessa's favorite Bible verses is Genesis 2:18, which reminds her that God created people for connection, community, and meaningful relationships. She believes that surrounding ourselves with supportive people reflects God's design for our lives and helps us grow, serve others, and live out our faith more fully.
