Helping Children and Families Navigate Life

Lily Wheeler

Foster Care Specialist Intern

About Me:

When Lily was a kid, she spent a lot of time at church with her family. Her parents were always involved and teaching Sunday School for kindergarteners and first graders, which has become an important part of Lily’s life. She now teaches Wednesday night classes for middle schoolers!

Lily joined our team after volunteering at our Foster Parent Night Out event, which started her journey as our FPNO Coordinator at Compass. She is currently attending Central Community College, pursuing a degree in Human Services. She has experience volunteering with Royal Family Kids Camp and Mentoring club, which was created for children in foster care.

Today, Lily’s family includes who parents, two “crazy” younger brothers and her little sister. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, napping and embroidering.

Lily is passionate about learning how to make connections. She believes it’s important to understand how strong connections with children and adults can impact their lives.
