About Me:

When Megan was a kid, she loved being outside with her younger siblings. She enjoyed riding her bike, jumping on the trampoline and spending warm days running through the sprinkler outside in the yard. You could always find her in her playhouse using her imagination while pretending to care for her baby dolls and feeding her imaginary family. Today, Megan’s real family includes herself and her husband. Together, they have three dogs and two cats. She and her husband are licensed foster parents and love welcoming children into their home who need placement or respite for long or short term stays.

Megan graduated from the University of Nebraska – Kearney with her bachelors in Family Studies and a minor in Women and Gender Studies in 2020. In 2023, she graduated from UNK with a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She joined our Compass team because of our faith-based values and welcoming environment. Megan feels that Compass is place that allows all of her clients to feel welcome and supported while making sure her client’s know there is a safe space for them to process their emotions and needs.

In her downtime, Megan can be found reading, traveling and spending time with her husband. Her family enjoys playing card games, cooking and watching Disney movies. She loves being outside working on her yard and spending time with the children that are in her care.

Megan is passionate about advocating and caring for children who seek attachment. She’s passionate about meeting her client’s where they’re at and working to provide a safe and welcoming environment. She’s also passionate about anything that brings her closer to Christ and encourages growth within herself.
